Traditional espresso care
Four jobs that should not be confused with each other.
A clean group head does not mean a scale-free boiler, and descaling does not remove coffee oils behind the three-way valve.

Brush the gasket and shower area, clean baskets and inspect wear parts.

Purge and wipe immediately after milk so residue never gets the chance to harden.

The Classic family is built around serviceable group-head maintenance.
Current UK models span the brass-boiler E24, PID-equipped Classic Up and dual-boiler Classic GT. All retain the traditional espresso-machine maintenance logic, while exact descaling and control details vary by generation.

If the manufacturer supplies or sells a blind basket/backflush disc, that is strong evidence of the intended group-cleaning workflow.
Hardness and alkalinity affect scale risk, especially on larger heat-exchanger and dual-boiler machines.
