Advanced Dual Froth system
Wipe milk residue from the wand and clean removable milk-contact parts.
CLEAN cycle
Use the cleaning disc and one tablet. Ninja states the cycle takes about 6 minutes.
DESCALE cycle
Remove the water filter first and run the full programmed descale. Ninja states it takes about 90 minutes.
Water filter
Replace the fitted filter and track its service interval.
Grinder & drip tray
Remove dry coffee residue and keep enough drip-tray capacity for cleaning programmes.

Coffee-oil cleaning
Backflush the Luxe Café Pro with its CLEAN programme.
Ninja says the CLEAN cycle flushes residual oils and grounds from the group head and shower screen and deposits the cleaning water into the main drip tray.
Empty the main drip tray
Start with the tray empty because cleaning water and sediment are discharged into it.
Fill the reservoir to MAX
Use fresh water only for the CLEAN programme.
Insert the double basket
Fit the double basket into the portafilter.
Place the cleaning disc above it
Fit the disc with the handle facing upward.
Add one cleaning tablet
Place one tablet in the centre of the cleaning disc.
Lock in the portafilter
Secure the portafilter into the group head.
Press CLEAN, then the centre dial
Start the programmed cleaning cycle using the Pro controls.
Let the machine backflush
Allow the approximately 6-minute programme to finish fully.
Wash the removable parts
Carefully remove and hand-wash the portafilter and drip tray after the cycle.
Confirm the tablet dissolved
If tablet remains on the cleaning disc, repeat the manufacturer cleaning-cycle instructions before brewing again.
CLEAN is a coffee-oil/backflush job. It is not descaling, and the cleaning tablet does not belong in the water reservoir.
Mineral scale care
Run the Luxe Café Pro DESCALE programme.
The Pro quick-start guide tells owners to remove the water filter before descaling and treats DESCALE as a separate approximately 90-minute programme.
Empty the main drip tray
The descale programme sends some water into the tray, so start with it empty.
Remove the water filter
Take the filter out of the reservoir before starting the descale cycle.
Prepare the descaling solution
Use the correct coffee-machine descaler dose and the fill quantity specified by the ES701UK instructions and product.
Prepare the portafilter and steam outlet
Lock in the required basket/portafilter setup and position the collection vessels safely.
Press DESCALE, then the centre dial
Start the programmed descale cycle from the Pro controls.
Let the machine complete the long cycle
Allow the approximately 90-minute programme to flush through the coffee and steam paths.
Wash removable parts
Carefully empty and wash the parts that collected descale solution.
Refill with fresh water
Rinse the reservoir and refill it with clean water.
Flush the group head
Complete the fresh-water group-head flush specified by Ninja.
Purge the steam wand
Run the PURGE function with no milk jug installed to clear the steam path.
Do not skip the fresh-water flushing after descaling. Remove the filter before the Pro descale cycle as specified by Ninja.
Incoming water care
Replace the Luxe Café Pro water filter.
The Pro uses a water-filter housing and insert. Keep filtration on schedule and remove the filter before the descale programme.
Remove the used insert
Lift the used filter insert out of the housing.
Prepare the replacement
Prime the replacement according to its instructions.
Fit it securely
Reinstall the housing and filter in the reservoir.
Track the change
Record the replacement date so filtration remains meaningful.
Milk-system care
Keep the Pro Advanced Dual Froth system clean.
The Pro has five hands-free froth presets, but residue still needs to be removed from the wand, jug and whisk after milk use.
Remove the jug after frothing
Take milk away from the machine once the drink is finished.
Wipe the steam wand
Use a clean damp cloth before milk dries onto the wand.
Allow or trigger the purge
Use the machine purge routine to flush the inside of the wand.
Wash the jug and whisk
Clean the removable milk-contact parts before the next use.
Dry coffee care
Keep the Pro grinder area free of loose grounds.
Use dry cleaning around the built-in grinder and do not introduce water into the burr mechanism.
Empty the hopper when deeper cleaning is needed
Remove beans before opening user-serviceable grinder parts.
Brush loose coffee away
Use the supplied cleaning brush on accessible dry grounds.
Keep the burr mechanism dry
Only wash removable parts Ninja explicitly identifies as washable.
Refit all parts securely
Reassemble before adding beans and grinding again.
